Lee & Hayley Married :: Atlanta Wedding (part 2)

Lee and Hayley  celebrated both their wedding and reception at Callanwolde. After we took a few photos of them together it was time for the BIG SURPRISE!  They had been working on a secret dance, with dips and lifts, special for this day.  I loved watching the faces of all of their loved ones as they danced around the room. They all loved it!

We had such a great night celebrating Lee and Hayley!  We are so thankful that they chose us to cover their wedding day, and it was so nice to get to know their family and friends along the way.  We wish you two such a happy life together, full of lots of fun adventures and joy!

Lee & Hayley Married :: Callanwolde Fine Arts Center (part 1)

A few weekends ago we had the pleasure of being back at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center for Lee and Hayley’s wedding day!  I feel like time passed SO quickly from our first meeting in the back of Panera Bread to the day of the wedding.  I spoke with Hayley a few weeks before the wedding day to go over the details of the day and I could tell that it was going to be a great event, with some special surprises.  Not to mention that they had been on site at Callanwolde each week practicing their special first dance!  Hayley had a clear idea of what she was looking for, and the day ran smoothy because she was so prepared.  We have a lot of great pictures to share…so in natural wedding blog fashion we have broken this up into two amazing parts!!

We met Hayley as she was upstairs getting ready with her sister.  They had tunes going, and a stocked table of snackies…my kinda day!  We also had a great amount of time to really spend on the grounds of Callanwolde taking pictures.  So after the ladies were ready we headed out for some photos outside.  I’m so thankful for what we were able to capture  early in the day, the southern afternoon showers came shortly after.

I hope you enjoy my little sneak preview of the day!  These are just some of the many that have stuck out to me as I edit through them!

Allison Payne - Alana,

The photos of Hayley and Lee’s wedding are beautiful! You did a fabulous job. All the bridesmaids were talking about how much we enjoyed working with you. As a member of the wedding party, I felt like the pictures were so easy and effortless. And now that I see the finished product, I’m really impressed!

Joe :: Milton High School Senior!

Joe is the quarterback for the Milton football team!  And…one of the nicest guys ever!

I met Joe this past weekend after emailing with his mom for a few weeks about our session.  I went out to their house and we spent some time taking photos all around their property.  I tried to pull out my football knowledge, and find out a little bit about him as well.  Joe has an amazing mom, a couple older brothers, a dad that was cooking up something yummy in the kitchen, and a few (ok five) really cute doggies! I really enjoyed my time over there!!!

I think what I really love about these HS:Senior sessions..ok, two things: I love getting to meet the families in my community, and I love getting to know my way around better.  Being fairly new to GA and Roswell it really has been fun discovering new places that might be nothing new to others who have been here all their lives.   But enough about me…back to Joe!

Maddie :: Milton High School Senior!

I had so much fun with Maddie during her HS:Session this past weekend.  I was driving over to the school to meet with her and her mom praaayyyying that the rain would hold off for us!  The sky was confused looking…blue in some spots, some cloudy, really menacing in others.  All that to say, we got started with the shoot right away.  The light was perfect and there was even a slight cool breeze, I was still praying inside for no rain.:)

We got through a few locations around the school- with the storm around us the light was going crazy…very warm and soft.  The kind that warms up your skin.  Then….it got really windy, I mean really windy, and in came that storm.  Maddie and her mom got to the car just in time, and I waited it out solo on the porch of Milton.  At one point there was blue sky and a rainbow to my left, pouring rain out front, and bright sun peaking out of the clouds to my right.  I was not sure what was going to happen?  I am really excited to say that Maddie and her mom were such great sports and waited out the storm with me.  The rest of our afternoon was a blast, and I cannot wait for you to see what happened at the end!  Get ready for a mega-blog ahead!

After the rain was over Maddie and her mom lead me over to the cross country trail.  It was like a rain forest over there, very green, and damp from the rain.  It was fun to get some shots of Maddie on that trail since she runs Cross Country for the school.

Next we headed to the downtown area where we were able to get some super fun shots before we lost light.  Our shoot did go a little later due to our rain delay than I would normal push it, but I think you will agree that it was worth it…especially when her mom suggested she get in the fountain!

I love this southern, yet urban look…The colors in these images are really cool, using the street light for mood lighting.  But, the b&w were so dramatic I had to share them!

Maddie, you rock girl!  Thank you for being so incredibly sweet and fun to photograph!

Hannah :: Milton HS Senior! (pt.2)

This spread is a little more sporty…if you will!  I love this girlie take on Milton High School as well.  I love how Hannah is REPing her ring in the shot below.  I love shooting HS:Senior Sessions!  Special thanks to Hannah and her mom for this wonderful afternoon!
