Fridays LIVE!

Easter edition!  Isn’t it amazing that the weather has turned for the better?!?!  I mean, hello 89 degrees!  It totally feels like April, it feels like Easter weekend, it feels like allergies, it feels like it is time to get to the beach!  (Thank you mom for the call from the beach today!)  Ah, to live at the beach….I did that once in a past life. Haha!  Maybe the Lord will allow that to happen again one day.

Anyway, things are alive and kicking here at ABJ Photography.  We did not let the weather keep us down and out after last weekend.  We had to re-schedule a shoot for next weekend, but I did make it out in the middle of rain sessions to grab a few quick shots.  See previous post.  The enthusiasm is rising as we meet new clients, and gear up for our first wedding in a few weeks.  I feel like it will be here before we know it….and then other times I feel like I am trying to watch water boil…it is not getting here soon enough!  Until then, I am having fun playing with new equipment and handling business….ewww, like taxes.  Ah.  Anyway, it needs to be done right?  I do have a couple fun things to blog in the near future: a masquerade party that we attended last weekend as well as a backyard inspired post from photos taken last night.  But for now, we wish you a lovely Easter and Easter weekend!  These flowers below are from Trader Joe’s…ah, totally SPRING!

Roswell Mill Inspiration

Ah! The weather today was a total mess!  I feel like gloom and doom was over us so we called the E:Session we had scheduled off. Then, the sun came out and it got hot???  But, soon after, the weather was gloomy again.

I headed out the the location of the session..Roswell Mill…and took some inspiration photos anyway.  Being there got me really excited for our session to come in a couple weeks, and re-affirmed for me why we love living in Roswell, GA!  I love this area and discover hidden gems all the time!  Heeellllloooo, we have a Krispy Kreme!  Repeat after me “HOT Doughnuts NOW” haha!

Fridays LIVE!

All I have is a photo share today…

I am at home sick today trying to gain some much needed strength and enthusiasm for the weekend ahead.  It will be full of more amazing photo sessions and a lot of little ones with Easter eggs!  This past week has been so fun, getting back into the season of being outdoors for photo sessions, and renting new equipment to test out.

The photo below I snapped yesterday when the Governor came out to meet a few classes that were visiting the capitol.  I loved their enthusiasm…I am channeling it right now.  May this weekend be amazing for each of you!

Baxter Family Session : Monroe, GA Family Photographer

Remember in the last blog when I said I had quite the day on Saturday?  Me…GPS…Lovers Lane.  Anyway, all of that was for the incredible opportunity to hang out and photograph the Baxter family out on their land.  Actually, I work with Matt at the capitol, and he mentioned to me he would like some photos of his family for a belated gift to his mom.  I was super excited that it worked out for this past weekend, and that we had such amazing weather!  Upon arrival to their home I was welcomed with smiles and excitement…I knew we were going to have a great time.

The sun played a few tricks on us there in the beginning, not quite as cloudy as we would have liked in the very beginning.  We worked with it though and found some really cool spots to shoot.  I think you will see that it did not take long for me to feel welcome, for everyone to feel comfortable in front of the camera, and for the fun to begin.  I love laughter, and there was a lot of that to go around!  Thank you Matt for hooking me up with your family, and to everyone for being great sports and trusting me when I asked you to do something out of your comfort zone!
