This year has brought many firsts, and I am so excited for this amazing power couple to welcome their first child! Brandi and Cody are the sweetest, most genuine couple. I am so thrilled they trusted me with this session and I was extra excited to see the photos published in their exclusive announcement with People!
The Runnels family is an important legacy to the pro wrestling world, and I know I share the JOY of their fans when I say CONGRATULATIONS!
The Fall is the most amazing time in the South, full of warmth and color. I know that there is a huge draw during this time for Holiday cards – it is also such a wonderful time because the weather is simply amazing for photos! We are learning so much around my home during these covid-times, and one main point is to enjoy the outdoors even more than we have before. Pace slows and we are able to appreciate the trees, birds and sky more! I think we also have come to appreciate HOME more and specifically for me and these sessions, hometown, a little more. I am so thankful for the friends, neighbors and local families who have chosen me to capture their family during this season.
One of my favorite comments when doing a series of family photo sessions the other weekend was, “oh, and we brought the dogs!” I absolutely love that. They are such a part of our daily lives and families, so why not!?!? Not to mention these kiddos and puppies are dear friends, so that makes it that much sweeter!
I am going to brag a minute and just say this brother sister duo take the best sibling photos during our sessions. If I could share all of them I would!
My Holiday season sessions are completely booked y’all! If you are interested, please don’t hesitate to contact me about this spring. It is a great season for family, newborn, or maternity photos. And, I’d love to get you booked for next year! Just remember I book up fast once summer comes to a close. And, a special thank you!!!!!!! To all of my lovely clients, who come back year after year. It is a total JOY to watch your families grow, meet new puppies, and celebrate a new year with you!
My first Throwback Thursday post is from May 2018 when I had the chance to do a family portrait session for our neighbors here in Roswell. Our parks are beautiful here most of the year, very green and lush, great locations for portraits. I know many of these images were used for Father’s Day gifts!
Something I love is including elements that really showcase time and place within the photos. Here we have a beloved stuffed animal or “Lovie” who helped us all throughout the session. I know they show up in home photos, but it is special to use Lovies, blankets, and other items that are special to kids throughout the session.
I know it is easy to make a session about the kids or your pets, but I always try to grab a few images of the parents together!
